To be a rude and bad “sigma” you must be in violation of some sort of order and considered a dirty sigma.

The term was invented by an 8th grader in Kentucky who called one a dirty sigma. The other term, muddy sigma is mainly used for pointing out unlawful conduct, in which was invented by the same person.

The words “Dirty sigma” can be traced back as far as 2021-2022 as a user on Reddit made a post about Dirty Sigmas lenses, in referral to the brand Sigma.

Dave is a dirty sigma for not being on time for class.
