Sogler

A parent, normally a father but can also be used to refer to a mother. Commonly prefixed by "the". Generally considered derogatory.

Normally only used by immediate family.

Child: Can I have some bus fare please?
Mother: Go and ask The Sogler.

The Soglers are out tonight so we can throw a party

spoilerize

To remove spoilers from a description, especially a movie or TV summary, that might otherwise give away the ending or a plot twist to the unsuspecting reader. Can either be done by omitting spoiler content entirely, or by masking it on a web page in a way that the user has to click through or highlight text to read it.

You should spoilerize that movie review better, so people don't find out he was dead all along.

Spoiler faux pas

A statement which is claimed to spoil a film or television show episode, but in reality states something that never even occurs in the film or episode, thus making it not actually the spoiler of anything. Also called a "fake spoiler," "faux spoiler," or a "false spoiler."

Kevin: I'm serious this time, Oscar, don't you dare spoil "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."
Oscar: It dies.
Kevin: YOU SUCK!!!!
Oscar (thinking): Has no idea it was a spoiler faux pas...sucks for him!

Monica: I haven't watched the finale of 'Breaking Bad' yet...you better not spoil it for me...
Rachel: Walt Jr. convinces Walt and Skyler to get back together and it turns out that Hank actually didn't die.
Monica: THANKS A LOT!!!!

Person 1: “damn I really like this character”
Person 2: “ooo good luck with that, something really wild happens to them in the next season!”
Person 1: *searched it up because person 2 was spoiler baiting them*
