This is the primary reason breakfast cocktails such as bloody marys and mimosas were invented, as they allow the drinker to maintain the intoxication acquired the previous night.

We're headed to my friend's beach house for Labor Day weekend. I think I'll just pitch a drunk for the whole trip.
