He has been in a couple other bands with his brother Mikey Way. He trried playing guitar once but wasnt that great.
He quit his job as a comic book artist after witnessing 9/11 at work. He decided to call some people to start a band because he wanted to do something with his life. And help people. He is always trying to help fans with life and problems.
He is the most beautiful guy ever. But he is also extremely sweet and caring. He is hilareous too.
He recently released his own comic book called Umbrella academy.
He puts on amazing live shows and he usually does something awesome at em.

Lead SInger Of My Chemical Romance Which Are *In My Opinion* THE Best (L) Gerard Married Mindless Self Indulgence Bassist, Lyn-z In September 2007 After MCR And MSI Toured Together On Linkin Park's Projekt Revolution. They Announced The Pregnancy In November. Their Daughter, Bandit Lee Way, Was Born In Los Angeles At 2:57 P.M. On May 27th And Weighs 6 lbs., 5.6 oz. Awww :)
Gerard Way said he is "very excited" about fatherhood, adding: "I don't know that I ever thought about having a kid, but then I also didn't expect to meet Lyn-Z. When I met her I knew she'd be the one person I could have a kid with."

The frontman of My Chemical Romance (MCR), a talented artist (in painting, drawing, comic book art, and writing.), and a hero to many. Inspires us with the lyrics he writes with the band MCR. He has gone through a lot of mess with drugs and alcohol but came out sober after many suicide scares.
He wrote the comic book The Umbrella Academy (called TUA for short by some people) and made the inspiration art for it for Gabriel Ba' the artist.

I'm sick of all you people who only like Gerard because of his incredibly good looks. Sure, he has good looks, but he also had an incredable voice and amazing cartoon skills. All of the album art was done by Gerard and he's amazing. All of you preppy wanna be "punk", "goth", or "emo" girls don't know that Gerard classifies they're music as "death rock" and says that they are not emo, goth, or punk. So, get off the fact that he's so hot, or that any of them are so hot and listen to something besides "helena" "I'm not okay" and "the ghost of you". Yes, they are good songs, but listen to some of their older stuff too. AND STOP BEING POSERS!
