WAFA

A term that Stands for:
wind assisted fucking asshole

These people are ignorant arseholes (usually middle or upper class) who go sailing for 'pleasure' usually in heavy commercial traffic areas but don't know the first thing about safely controlling a vessel on the sea. They automatically think that their sail gives them the right of way and can often be seen cutting infront of fast ferries, tugboats and other vessels that actually have a legitimate purpose on the water. They are despised by tugboat captains, ferry captains and basically anybody else on the water, fishermen especially.

Mike: "Hey Tom, look at that WAFA about to sail between the tugboat and the 300ft barge that its towing"
Tom: "yes, a WAFA indeed"

An abbreviation of "what am I going to do?" but only used in the context of a situation where there are potentially dire consequences to doing/not doing anything. Popularized by the slack jawed youth of Limerick this slang is an expression of a true commitment to being a Limerick Kid.
