Get the Aironik mug.A bus that runs from New York City to Canton/Potsdam. Beware when traveling north of Albany. Not a pleasant ride, but definitely an interesting experience. The bus usually has people who smell of a mixture of alcohol and tobacco. There are always people who just got out of jail traveling southbound. Most of the time there are people having loud conversations. And if you're lucky, you'll ride with a young lady from Maryland who rides the bus every month to visit her daughter in Saranac Lake. She WILL talk to you the WHOLE ride. Just avoid making eye contact with anyone, and sit as far away from people as possible. Sitting towards the front may be a good idea, as noise levels generally increase towards the back of the bus.
Oh man, I rode on Adirondack Trailways yesterday and the only good part was when we stopped for food in Schroon Lake.
