The Manx is a breed of cat with a naturally occurring mutation of the spine. This mutation shortens the tail, resulting in a range of tail lengths from normal to tailless. Many Manx have a small 'stub' of a tail, but Manx cats are best known as being entirely tailless and it is the distinguishing characteristic of the breed.

A farcical assemblage of bureaucrats who cannot accomplish anything because they fail to connect and communicate with one another effectively. If you can imagine a traditional rodeo with cats instead of bulls and horses and with miniature riders of whatever sort suits your fancy, what would happen? Cats would be in various areas of the arena preening themselves, fighting or playing with each other, or getting distracted by shiny and moving objects; and since no riders would succeed in mounting the cats, the contest would never start or end.

A popular breakfast food item, especially in the southern U.S. Technically known as "Sausage Gravy and Biscuits." Someone who doesn't appreciate the finer things probably decided that it looked like something the "cat yacked-up" on a plate.
"I'm so hungry I could eat the north end out of a southbound skunk! Bring me full order of cat yack and a cuppa joe."
