Melly Syndrome (noun)
/ˈmelē ˈsinˌdrōm/
A psychological condition marked by an overwhelming, often uncontrollable obsession with a woman named Melly — a seductive, manipulative, magnetic presence whose beauty and cruelty are equally intoxicating. Victims of Melly Syndrome typically display signs of infatuation, delusion, and self-abandonment, willingly sacrificing dignity, reason, and autonomy in pursuit of her fleeting approval.
Symptoms include:
• Persistent thoughts of Melly regardless of time, place, or consequence
• Intense jealousy, possessiveness, and insecurity when Melly is perceived as unattainable or indifferent
• A pathological need to please her, even at great personal cost
• A willingness to lie, cheat, or betray others to remain in her favor
• Paranoia and emotional instability when separated from her
Origin:
Derived from the behaviors evoked by Melly — a woman equal parts compassionate and cruel, loving and selfish. She is obsessive, narcissistic, emotionally elusive, and devastatingly alluring. Known to twist hearts with a glance and unravel egos with a whisper, she thrives on control cloaked in affection. Her presence feels like royalty — cold, radiant, untouchable — and her affection, a reward to be bled for.
Warning:
There is no known cure. Those afflicted are either destroyed or remade in her image.

“Ever since he met her, he’s been spiraling — ignoring his friends, spending every penny just to catch her attention. Classic case of Melly Syndrome.”

A condition observed in long-term Bitcoin participants, typically those involved for a decade or more, marked by a profound disillusionment with the current state of Bitcoin and its community. These individuals, often early investors who have become wealthy due to Bitcoin's growth, find themselves at odds with the evolving narratives and cultural shifts within the Bitcoin ecosystem. Feeling estranged by what they perceive as a departure from Bitcoin's original principles and intentions, they exhibit behaviors that contrast sharply with their initial commitment to Bitcoin. This may include supporting alternative cryptocurrencies, engaging in questionable practices, or completely disassociating from the Bitcoin community. The syndrome is indicative of the broader internal conflicts over the direction, values, and identity of the cryptocurrency community.
He used to be such a good Bitcoiner, now suffering from Bitcoin Derangement Syndrome (BDS) often attacking Bitcoin and peddling shitcoins to his audience.

When a nice character is seen as a worse character than their mean counterpart as all their personality traits are ignored by the fandom, and is called a character with no personality, while the mean character is more flanderized, corny and is only called a character with personality traits because they happen to not be nice. The characters referred here are Sammy and Amy from Total Drama's sixth season
Miraculous Ladybug's fandom is now experiencing Pahkitwin Syndrome with Luka Couffaine.
He has some personality traits that don't just add up to him being nice, and even a bunch of character flaws. But since they aren't worked on, people don't acknowledge them. However, an antagonist as baseless and petty as Lila is seen as a better character despite actually having zero personality traits outside of hating Marinette
