Ned Bigby Syndrome is a term used to describe a person who is always ready to help others navigate the trials and tribulations of life, much like the character Ned Bigby from the television show “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide”.

My younger brother has been showing signs of Ned Bigby Syndrome, always ready with a creative solution for every problem we face at school.

This usually happens when people from relatively humble beginnings make it into middleclass/upper middleclass and start giving unsolicited advice to massage their ego or make it seem like they are helping you. They tend to become know it all's and wont let you get a word in, wont accept there are other ways of doing things or just assume they are always right.
