She does this because of her inability to be alone or face confrontation. Rachel is the type of girl that will date a guy then talk about how she wishes she fucks other guys. She plays the victim 98% of the time rather than stepping up to the fact that she is the problem. Her only redeeming characteristic is that she is smart, but she uses it to manipulate others to her advantage. Rachel speaks horribly to her mother and will call her names and manipulate her until she gives her money. She makes up sad backstories to further place herself as the victim in her life.
