office-ese

pronounced like other foreign languages - chinese, japanese, office-ese. pronounced - office "ease".

description - the cliche, usually trendy language spoken by corporate office / executive types to make themselves seem more intelligent / important than they are, or so busy, or just cool / "in the know" amongst their corporate world colleagues, etc.

examples of cliche words / phrases- Having said that, if you will, essentially, so to speak, others - dude, I wish I could help you, but i'm totally slammed / swamped / jammed. "Thank you / Thanks so much", although never spoken in a way that feels really sincere at all.

I wish she would stop speaking office-ese, she's so annoying.

OMG I really wish Brad would chill (stop) with the office-ese. It's totally annoying.

Office door mat

Referred to as the office administrator. Others will pile shit on your plate and pull you in 5 different ways. Accomplishing any task of will become nearly impossible. People will copy you in on emails and tell other people that you will be reaching out to them. This covers ones ass., but not yours. You will be paid less than 95% of people in a company. If you are hourly you will be will the first person at the office in the morning and the last one to leave.

Jack will be switching offices until may and he will be in the Office that Jenna is currently in. Jenna will be moving to Joey's old office. The new hiree will be going where Mary K. sits, and Mary K. will be going where Jack used to be.

When a company deliberately attempts to completely emulate the mannerisms of the cast of hit NBC show “The Office”.

My boss has decided to hire a camera crew, be severely immature and childish, make crude jokes and spout out quotes that millennials will use on a coffee cup or t shirt. He’s totally officing.
