dry snark

Unlike a wet snark, a dry snark does not usually make reference to bodily functions.
A dry snark might say: Expect everyone in Washington to go crazy over a bogus terrorist plot. (Compare to "wet snark": Expect everyone in Washington to lose bowel control over a bogus terrorist plot).
