Even with you disagree on something he doesn't degrade you or put you down simply because you have a different view or feeling. His early years were rough and shaped his personality heavily as he got older. Knowing that someone relates to him makes it easier to form a bond with whoever it is. He can be complicated or make you feel hurt sometimes but it's not his fault. Growing up without a proper role model made it to where there were moments that he may not recognize how you feel or how to deal with other people's emotions.
