Tired phrase that is over used in the business world to describe dire or crucial needs. This term gained wide use starting in the mid-1990s and really should go away.

It's mission critical that all systems must be operational.

interplanetary mission

When someone must travel between multiple houses and locations on a mission to aquire illegal drugs, usually cannabis.

A common example is for a couple people to leave one house, pick up some people and smoke some bowls at another house. Then a couple people going to the dealers house to grab say an ounce of weed, then selling some weed at another friends house. Often smoking weed the whole time.

"I had to buy and sell across like 6 homes on this interplanetary mission last night and I'm still high."

another slang term for taking a dump, probably more so appropriate in an air force/military setting. See amphibious assault and deploy some troops.

mush mission

When someone keeps going on and on and on about their love life and they tell it in SUCH a sappy puppy dog love type way, that they are on a mission and nothing can stop them.

So I said, no I love you more, and he said, NO. I love YOU more...isn't that so romantic? Oh, sorry, im on a mush mission aren't I?

mission mode

An extreme sense of task orientation that causes a person (usually male) to focus exclusively on the job at hand at the expense of social graces and pleasantries.

My wife: "I know we're going on a long trip... But we're packed now so you can at least smile. No need to be in mission mode all the time!"
