don’t sound so excited

When someone is obviously irritated or annoyed you can tell them ‘don’t sound so excited!’ Or maybe ‘don’t seem (or get/be) too (or so) excited!’ To piss them off or maybe make them laugh.

I feel like everyone on the internet has forgotten this phrase and I personally love it and use it all the time 🤓

Person 1: “ugh, seriously, we have to do the mile in gym today..”
Person 2: “don’t sound so excited!”

Person 1: “bruh.. my mom told me that her and my dad are getting a divorce ..”
Person 2: “don’t seem so excited!”

we were excited

a phrase used to quite literally say “we were excited” however, the use of the word “were” in the sentence has no past tense meaning. so it basically means “we’re excited.”

Johnny: I got the booze.
Lia: We were excited.

Excitement contractions

When you are so excited for something that you actually have contractions. This occurrence happens with both genders and will typically cause intense butterflies in the stomach and jumping up and down.

"man, I'm so excited to go to the city, I'm getting excitement contractions"

Sorry I'm getting too excited but any number of thing could happen between now and then and I don't know whether or not I should just write it down for you are what the hell the deal is going to be. 100% excitement. Almost euphoric. A wonderful and joyful feeling of stimulation, arousal or being energized.

1) The extreme rollercoaster experience was definitely exciteful.

2) “I’m totally aroused now,” beamed Sam excitefully.

3) We are in a state of excitefulness after reaching the peak.
