The inspirational moment that will help define a moment that would never have occured whilst sober.

The road was long and wound like a snake to the summit. Suddenly my alcogenius kicked in and I tackled the hill head on. Only to find it wasn't such a good idea and I got stuck half way up and had to be rescued by the coast guard.

Alonewesome

Being single and/or alone and loving it. Alonewesomeness is a state of mind that rejects the traditional moping and angst of being alone at a given time and adopts a fun disposition towards it.

I didn't feel like going to that party Saturday night, I just stayed home and {had a bath/read a book/played videogames the whole night/other fun activity} (delete as appropriate). It was alonewesome!

Home Alone

1. From the 1990 Chris Columbus hit, "Home Alone" in which an eight year-old, who is accidentally left behind while his family flies to France for Christmas, has to defend his home against idiotic burglars. To "home alone" something is to set up traps, usually to the physical disadvantage of the intruder. The following are just examples of the painful surprises included in this term:

*Blowtorch rigged to door

*Fan and feathers rigged to tripwire

*Heated iron attached to lightbulb

*Tar on basement steps, massive nail hidden in one step

Example One:
"Jesus, somebody broke into my car! That's the second time this year!"

"Dude, you better home alone it."

alone

It can mean two things:

1) To literally be in the presence of no other person.
2) To be surrounded by people, but said people are largely inconsequential, in that you take no interest in them and vice versa, and so the situation is as good as being alone.

It can lead to intense feelings of hopelessness, and depression. One may feel that they will forever be alone. It's a feeling commonly associated with the inability to make friends or meet a girlfriend or boyfriend.

"Damnit. Since I moved into University, I feel so alone."
