Iceberg tier parodies/memes are a genre of list-type images in which a person's expertise on a topic is represented by an iceberg metaphor.
The main premise of these images is that everything can be described using an iceberg - You may think you know everything about it while looking at a surface level, but if you dive deep enough you'll see that the iceberg is much bigger, and with much more to explore. A figure of speech for someone's disclosure of their secret obsession of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The term originates from the infamous phrase "coming out of the closet," which you most likely know refers to someone's confession of their sexuality. "Closet" is so cleverly replaced with "Iceberg" because Aang, the main character of the series, emerges from a giant iceberg in the first episode of the first season.
