The Potential 

Term to describe someone who you are more than friends with, but not in a relationship with. Short for "the potential boyfriend/girlfriend," it's meant to finally define this limbo period when you're kinda seeing, kinda dating someone.

Son: Hey mom, what's Kelcey doing tonight?

Mom: She's hanging out with Marco again. It looks like he's The Potential.

Son: Oh geez, god help that boy!

The ability of a male to make females jealous of his girlfriend, through physical attractiveness.
Relates to the jealousy created by a girl having a better handbag than her friends.

OMG that hotdog selling guy has amazing handbag potential!

From the Greek, combining lignos, the word for "wood" with "genesis" meaning to give birth to. This pharse describes the ability a particular woman has to inspire an erection. Not to be confused with a perfect erection, the so-called "lignogenesis perfecta".

Man, this disco blows. Not one of these bufforillas has any lignogenic potential.
