He knows who is real and who's fake and if he gives you his attention he will listen and be there for you. He is compationate, considerate and empathetic. Faisal knows I overthink everything. That I spiral sometimes and need reassurance, even if I don’t always ask for it out loud. So one day, he showed up with this little jar—filled with fake pills. And inside each one, he’d folded tiny pieces of paper with notes he’d written just for me. I remember feeling like he’d found a way to speak the words he struggles to say out loud. It was one of the quietest, kindest things anyone’s ever done for me.
