He has his own animated television show on Nick and is appealing to kids because of the child-oriented animation, his not-so-bright best-friend Patrick, and stupid things he does. The show is also appealing to teenagers and adults because of the inside jokes that only they would understand and catch, its can in a minor way relate to the older audience in some way, the not-so-bright best-friend Patrick, and he stupid things he does, usually with patrick and/or squidward, the depressed, boring, Mr. Downside neighbor.

SpongeBob: (after waking up from a bad dream with every main charater) Ah!
