I submit this is the proper definition for edgelord... It is a derogatory title given to an online commenter or poster whose statements could be said to be masturbatory in a literary sense. They exhibit an overly self important tone or speak in an attention getting way for the sake of attention. And its done so thoroughly as to suggest this person has in fact mastered the art of literary masturbation. Like being the crowned prince/world champion of jacking off.

Edgecheese

A word used to describe a particular person or thing that tries to be edgy, but ends up becoming incredibly cheesy and hilarious.

One particular example of total edgecheese is the game Hatred. It is understandable that a game about a deranged psychopath going around murdering innocents can be disturbing, but the voice acting within the game is so cheesy and poorly acted that you can't help but laugh at it.
