Typically they feel like it was harder for them to get into their university of choice in comparison to in-state students who are similarly adept to their out-of-state (OOS) counterparts. For this very reason, many OOS students often saunter about with an air of self-importance while in-state students make fun of their inability to conform to the state's customs and standards.
