phorming

A parasitic marketing technique, which involves intercepting web site traffic to profile ISP user's interests and affiliations (without explicit consent from either the web sites or their users) . Profiled ISP users can then be subjected to targetted advertising for competitor web sites (hence, parasitic marketing). Generally very unpopular with ISP users for legal, privacy and security reasons. Generally rejected by web site owners whose copyrighted content is scanned and abused to promote their rivals.

desktop applications like Word, Outlook, Excel, and Open Office are indeed acutely vulnerable to 'Phorming'

When you are on rotations for pharmacy school, and your preceptor/pharmacist helps you make a clinical decision or suggests one.

After my preceptor pointed out that I should used weight based dosing for my patient, I thanked him for the pharm assist.

Pharmacy

A term used among players of the Blizzard game "Overwatch" describing a Pharah player being healed or power-boosted by a Mercy player as the Pharah shoots at you. The term came from the fact that Mercy is healing and that combining Pharah and Mercy sounds similar to pharmacy.

Pharm Party

A bullshit scare tactic that news stations are broadcasting because suburban soccer moms will watch it. AND BELIEVE IT.

Not only have I NEVER heard of one of these taking place, but neither has Jack Shafer of SLATE Magazine. Here is an excerpt of a piece he wrote in response to an article from Chambersburg, Pa.'s March 8, 2002 issue of Public Opinion.

"Again, the story quotes no teenage pharm partiers, interviews no witnesses to pharm parties, and cites no cop reports, etc."

I know most of the drug users of my school, and all of them know better than to grab a handfull of pills and gobble them up.

*A mom see's this on the news*
MOM: "Oh no! A Pharm Party? Little Timmy!"
*Mom rushes to medicine cabinet*
MOM: "I'm throwing out every pill in here! There's no way I'm letting my little Timmy take tylenol or baby aspirin! He might try to get high!
