Eh?

Canadian term used after most sentances. Usausally used to prove a point. Normally used without knowlage of use.

Andrew: "That pie was good, eh?"
Matt: "Yea, eh?"

2.Put at the end of a sentence to add more verbal contact between two people
3.Used to change a statement into a question. Usually at the end of the sentence.

1."Eh sexy."
2."How are you today eh."
3."That was some cool stuff, eh?"

Used as an apathetic interjection, when one is asked a question, or asked to make a response to something you don't feel strongly about.

Person 1: Hey Man! How're you doing today?
Person 2: Eh.
Person 1: How bout them Cubs?
Person 2: Eh.
Person 1: (Pause) Dammit! Say something!
Person 2: Eh.

It most certainly is not used in Australia and Great Britain, Rodney, it is used by Canadians to punctuate everything they say.

"Hey Terrance, it's aboot the coldest durn day I've seen in a long time, eh?"

"That's becuase your drunk Tristan."

"Me? a Canadian? Drunk? noooo, never"

Eh

This is a powerful word signifying that the person saying it, to put it lightly, JUST DOESN'T CARE! If someone says "Eh" to you, you better start running cause they are in a bad mood, and don't want to be messed with!

Girl #1: GUESS WHAT?!?! I MADE THE SOCCER TEAM!
Girl #2: Eh
Girl #1: Uh-oh....
