Get the d&dmug. As stated by Epsy....except for the naive collectable book game part. The open game license has opened opportunities for people to express and spread their ideas among the gaming industry... that's all. Nobody is making you buy these books. They are simply made so that, people will have a much wider variety of ideas floating through their heads. Who knew that letting age-old campaign settings expand and creating new monsters for groups that have memorized monster stats (and the DM is too ignorant to change them) is a bad thing. If you truly think that the game is turning terrible because, for some reason, more books stop your flow of creative thinking then teach new 'naive' players 2nd or 1st edition rules.

Get the D&Dmug. a role-playing game played by lonely white kids. D&D provides a useful social function by preventing these kids from killing themselves. It also helps to give such kids a false personality to make-up for their glaring deficits.
While playing D&D, Ted yelled in a nasally voice: "My wizard shall destroy your ogre in a manner of two hit-points... Pass me the ten-sided die Fred"
Jeb says: I will spend all of my D&D points towards my charisma category. That way I can believe that I am wOOtw00t in the face of all contradictory evidence.
In an awkward moment of reality, Terry says, "Hey Ted, Jeb, and Fred, I'm so glad we play D&D six times a week. If it wasn't for you guys, I would hang myself"
