Corner Brook

Fat-ass Charles Pender was once the mayor until 2010 when retired Wal-Mart greeter Neville Greeley took his place after a 30000 vote lead. Charles afterwards attacked a nuclear power facility and got a life sentence in the Detroit Women's Penitentiary. Back to Corner Brook, it is a beautiful city in Western Newfoundland, with lots of potholes, and nobody to take the time to fix them. Former celebrity and Canadian Idol contestant Rex Goudie also lives about 650kms away from Corner Brook. The residents of Corner Brook follow a daily routine of getting out of bed, listening to the "news" on the attemped news station CFCB, then go to work complaining about every god-damn thing.
If I go to Corner Brook, I'll be sure to leave.

Corner Legend

1) A corner legend is a person who frequently finds himself/herself in the corner of various venues. Further, he/she has mastered the art of accepting their niche in the corner, while refraining from inconveniencing his/her company and even tending to their needs. For example, a corner legend in a restaurant sits in the corner of the booth and readily passes condiments and sweetners when members of his/her company are in need. A corner legend can exit their corner to go to the bathroom, without depending on their friends/acquaintances to get up. A corner legend always finds a convenient way out.
2) A corner legend can also reffer to a hustler that is infamous or recieves notoriaty from his/her peers. He/she works the corner in a way that is respected by the community and is simultaneously very lucrative.

JPEYST: Damn straight, I'm comin'. I never pass up da chance to eat wit da corner legend.

Shopping round the corner

A slang term for a homosexual in British culture. It is so termed because instead of 'shopping' at the normal crevice the participant has decided to do their 'shopping' round the other side.
James: Graham Norton does his shopping round the corner!
Chris: You mean he goes to Somerfields? I knew that guy was a fucking weirdo..
James: No I mean he likes to shove his erect penis into the chocolate starfish of other men.
Chris: Oh so he shops at Morrisons then?
