Wog

A derogatory term for an Australian person of Mediterranean descent, typically Greek or Italian. They tend to be more violent than their white counterparts and hate admitting they're wrong. This can probably be attributed to their Yia-yia's or Nonna's beating them with wooden spoons as young children.

In the port of Alexandria during WWII, in order to allow locals who had been cleared by security to work in the port, they were issued with 'nightshirts' to wear with the initials W.O.G.S. stencilled on the back, standing for : Workers On Government Service.
