what you say when you werent listening to or dont understand or dont know how to answer the question asked OR when the answer is complicated and you dont feel like explaining it or when you have no straight-foward answer.

1) Wife: "Honey, what do you want for dinner?"
Husband: "what? oh, umm...yeah...sure."

2) 6th grader: "Dad, if 3 Xes equal 9 Zs, then how many Xs equal 1 Y?"
Dad: "what? oh, umm...yeah...sure."

3) Girlfriend: "Aren't these shoes just perfect?"
Boyfriend: "what? oh, umm...yeah...sure."

4) Obama supporter: "Did you vote for Obama? Why or why not?"
Mcain supporter: "what? oh, umm...yeah...sure."

5) Gay person: "What is your position on gay marrige?"
Straight person with gay family: "what? oh, umm...yeah...sure."

Oh yeah eh

A Canadian phrase often said in response to really any sort of claim or statement from another Canadian. It is meant to mean "right on" or "how 'bout that". Very informal in nature, usually used in conversation between two guys who are friends or at least casual acquaintances.

Canadian Man 1: "So Donny was telling me the ponds are ready to go for the winter eh".
Canadian Man 2: "Oh yeah eh?"

Oh, yeah, I'm bringing you to Disney World is, really, at the heart of it, the unfulfilled promise of an adult, usually parental figure, to bring the child somewhere exciting or new or fun, but, they never, ever, do it. Basically, narcissistic parenting.

Oh, yeah, I'm bringing you to Disney World, little Danny Boy. Definitely, we are going this summer. Tell all your little friends at school about it.
