Old Milwaukee Syndrome

A description of something or someone that when totally optimized is still complete crap. The expression originates from the advertising campaign for Old Milwaukee Beer: despite the beer being only barely better that drinking pond water, its slogan was "It just doesn't get any better than this!"

John:"What's up with your front yard?"
Ben: "I know, I've spent the last three weekends weeding, fertilizing, mowing, trimming . . . and it still looks like a dirt lot."
John: "Another case of Old Milwaukee Syndrome, it just doesn't get any better than this."

Belmont Milds

Belmont Milds, now just referred to as Belmont(s) by smokers due to government regulations prohibiting the use of phrases like "light and Mild" on Tobacco Cigarette products are a brand of premium Canadian Tobacco Cigarette. Despite initial reports and rumors from smokers that Belmonts would be discontinued this never occurred. This may be attributed to the fact that this brand and Canadian Tobacco Industry once again saw a resurgence of popular youth smokers within the "hipster" and "party crowd" in Canada. Also that Benson & Hedges a British company that manufactures Belmont Cigarette may have felt they would lose a large market share of Canadian Tobacco Cigarette smokers to other Canadian brands as it's there only Canadian Cigarette brand.

Made with a Charcoal Filter if you open the filter of a Belmont you would find small fragments of Charcoal which gives the Cigarette an unique taste by removing certain impurities (Some smokers may say this is just an attempt to overlay bad Tobacco).

Milwaukie

not a misspelling of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, although this Milwaukie (in Oregon), /was/ named after the Wisconsin one, back before the current spelling of the Wisconsin city was officialized.
Milwaukie is the home of bing cherries, Dark Horse comics (published Sin City, among others), and some other stuff.
It was a very rural area around a small downtown 40 years ago, but now it's morphed into this weird semi-urban area that's impinging on the borders of Portland, OR.
It is also the "Dogwood Capital of the West".

A: I'm from Milwaukie.
B: Oh! With the beer?
A: Well... yeah... but not the one you're thinking of, we just have some microbreweries
