bali

An island in Indonesia, popular tourist attraction for Australians and Asians. Was attacked by terrorists on October 12, 2002, killing nearly 200 people. Main religion of the island is Hindu, and the locals are very friendly and speak many languages, usually Indonesian, Balinese, English and Japanese.

Bali is a poor island, with many locals making their money from farming or market stalls. The market stalls are on of the main attractions, mainly becuase you can buy good quality DVDs and video games for 10000 rupiah, or roughly $1.60 AUD. Also renowned for fake anything, from t-shirts, to fake Oakley's.

I went to Bali last year and got me some cheap DVDs that havnt been released in the movies in Australia yet!
