As you already may know, "the windy city" was actually a phrase used by the city of Chicago to promote their breezey beaches. LATER, a writer for the New York times used it as an insult for the boastful manner of Chicagoans during the world's fair. It has also been used to describe their politicians, whose lies and false promises have lead people to say they are "full of wind."

So if a know-it-all tool says to you, "You know, Chicago isn't called 'the windy city' because it's windy," you can say, "Fuck you. Yes it is."

A huge realm of streets, buildings, people, etc., sitting on western Long Island, all of Staten and Manhattan Islands, and the peninsula to the north of Manhattan Island, as well as several other isles at the mouth of the Hudson River in North America. My birthplace is somewhere in there.

Me: Um, 34th St. Midtown. Take the train into New York on Amtrak or on NJ Transit or the LIRR, and you shouldn't miss it.

Denver City

Denver City is a small town in the state of Texas taken up widely by a population of Whores and wanna-be Christians. They used to have a theatre, but the Christians thought it was possessed or some shit, and made way for some shitty plot of ground that is now ran down. This is the extent of how shitty this shit hole has become. Now, since there is nothing to do, all the children just have sex for fun, which is why HPV is so common place.

ellicott city

(aka EC) The county seat to Howard County, one of the top five richest counties in America. This town houses the upper middle class preps who drive around in their beamers or SUV's. The best girl's lacrosse team in the country plays here and Sport's Illustrated named it "Sportstown USA." CNN Money also called this town one of the "Top 20 Best Places to Live." People live here during the school year in their huge houses and mansions while they vacation in their summer beach houses on the eastern shore.

Teenager's here definately know how to party and live it up. Everyone wear's Polo, JCrew, Abercrombie, Lacoste, etc. and epitomizes preppy upper middle class kids.

The schools are one of the best in the counry and the sports teams are elite. If there was one place people would want to live, it would have to Ellicott City.

Where are those preps from? They seem really cool.

city pigeon

someone of the city, who loves the city is at home in the city and hates the country. usually takes public transportation. knows how to get anywhere on a bus/subway/whathaveyou... is definetly NOT a yuppy and is defiently NOT preppy in anyway. frequents parties and is known to be rather mellow. mostly ranges from ages 13-27.

the city pigeon knows this city like the back of his hand! (--better than that but that is the customary expression--once your think about it, you dont really know the back of your hand very well at all--at least i dont)
