A pit that takes 8 days to fall from top to bottom. Upon reaching the ground, you land safely, with no harm done to you.

My God, this freefall pit is seemingly endless! Will I ever stop falling??

The Pit

Where all the day student preps (freshmen) from Phillips Exeter Academy (Exeter) hang out. It's pretty much the coolest place..old couchs and booths..crazily painted walls..all that good stuff. Unfortunately, The Pit will cease to exist come this spring..oh well..it was good while it lasted.

Day Student 1-"Let's go to the d-hall for lunch"
Day Student 2-"Yeah, then we'll hit up The Pit afterwards"

Troll Pit

A troll pit is where sedentary trolls go to lurk and graze with their kind. Occupants of such places tend to be deliriously fanatical in a narrow sense, often celebrating vulgarity and syncopated nitwittery.

Some of the best examples are Atheists sites where groups of undereducated culties protect their ignorance by banning any challenge to their pseudoscientificly justified self righteousness.

Censorship is their main defense, assuming the initial tongue lashing doesn't do the trick.

I stepped into a troll pit the other day (shudders). The stench of it sticks on you worse than cigarette smoke. I suspect free speech is nothing more than a handout to those people.
