A close relative of paraconsistent systems theory, but with emphasis on systems that actively embrace or integrate contradictions rather than merely tolerating them. In paracontradictory systems, contradictions are not errors to be eliminated but essential features that drive adaptation, creativity, or resilience. Examples include certain legal systems that maintain competing principles, artistic works that combine irreconcilable elements, or biological systems that maintain opposing regulatory pathways. The theory studies how such systems stabilize around contradiction, using it as a resource rather than a threat.
Example: “His paracontradictory systems theory analyzed how the company thrived by keeping R&D and operations in constant tension—the contradiction between innovation and stability became its engine.”

A philosophy of science that accepts the possibility of contradictory yet useful scientific theories. It challenges the classical principle that a single contradiction makes a theory worthless (explosion). In practice, many scientific domains—quantum mechanics, medical diagnostics, psychology—contain contradictory findings or models that coexist. Paraconsistent science theory develops criteria for when contradictions are tolerable, how to manage them, and how to extract predictive power from inconsistent systems. It is especially relevant to interdisciplinary research and data‑rich fields where perfect consistency is impossible.
Example: “Paraconsistent science theory explained why doctors could use two contradictory diagnostic algorithms—both useful, neither fully consistent—without abandoning medicine.”

A radical philosophy of science that sees certain contradictions not as anomalies but as generative features of scientific progress. It argues that some fields—quantum mechanics, ecology, psychology—advance by maintaining opposing models (e.g., wave/particle, competition/cooperation, nature/nurture) rather than resolving them. The contradiction becomes a productive tension that drives research and prevents premature closure. Paracontradictory science theory champions epistemic pluralism and warns against forced unification that eliminates valuable diversity.
Example: “Paracontradictory science theory defended the coexistence of different models of depressionbiological, social, cognitive—as a strength, not a weakness.”

Paraconsistent Logic Theory

A branch of non‑classical logic that studies systems in which contradictions do not imply triviality (explosion). Paraconsistent logic allows a statement and its negation to both be true without allowing every statement to be proved. It provides a formal framework for reasoning with inconsistent information—common in legal disputes, medical diagnoses, and inconsistent databases. Paraconsistent logic theory includes systems like LP (Logic of Paradox) and relevant logics, and has applications in AI, knowledge representation, and semantics.
Example: “Paraconsistent logic theory allowed the court’s database to store both ‘defendant is guilty’ and ‘defendant is innocent’ from different trials without corrupting the entire system.”

A branch of logic that goes beyond paraconsistency by embracing contradictions as potentially productive rather than merely tolerable. Paracontradictory logic systems allow contradictions to exist and may even incorporate mechanisms for their resolution into higher‑level truths (synthesis). They are influenced by dialectical traditions but aim for formal rigor. Applications include modeling change, creativity, and the evolution of knowledge. Paracontradictory logic theory is less developed than paraconsistent or fuzzy logic but is gaining attention in fields dealing with radical change and paradox.
Example: “Paracontradictory logic theory provided a formal model for how a scientific revolution can hold two contradictory theories simultaneously before the new synthesis emerges—contradiction as engine, not error.”

Paracord Stool

slang for: suicide by standing on a stool and using a piece of paracord.

Comes from the challenging game Escape From Tarkov, where a yellow paracord can be used to extract from certain locations. This is a play on words, because people use paracord to escape the harsh challenges of life, and also to escape the fictional city of Tarkov.
"Did you hear that Nikolas assaulted a woman?"
"Oh boy he should commit paracord stool"
