“Shoot, man, ask John. He’s driving the bus.”

bus jumping

The act of catching a bus that isn't going to your intended destination in the hope it will catch up with a bus ahead that is going to your intended destination.

i.e. Your bus pulls away just as you reach the stop so you jump on the next bus and ride it until it either over takes the bus you want or arrives at a bus stop the bus you want is stopped at, then you jump off the wrong bus and onto the right bus therefore avoiding being late.

Sometimes also referred to as bus surfing.

I missed my bus and ended up bus jumping all the way.

An interesting Victorian phenonoma underpinned by Victorian ideals that attempts to check for speed in drivers.

Not to be confused with fixed cameras. It is well known they have been on the weed and couldn't tell if you were quick or dead.

Was pulled over by the drug bus tonight, but they couldn't lick me on anything.

chicken bus

A type of bus. The most rustic, low-cost, form of public of transport. Referring to those seen in exotic / 3rd World countries where people often share their journey with chickens and other animals.

Shall we be posh and get a taxi into town or save money and get the chicken bus?
