Nor does it have anything to do with understanding emotions. Rather, emotional intelligence is the practice of assenting to a sequence of tearfully-delivered truth claims about the world one lives in solely on the basis that a woman "feels" that such and such is the case. Historically, emotional intelligence as a concept emerged as a type of estrogenic cope for middling IQ statistics and the general inability to engage in sound reasoning without the impediment of emotional hysteria.
