Rotobrushing masks (cuts) out the subject of a video ( using frame by frame refinement with a brush to either increase or decrease subject area ; hence the name "rotobrush" ). Rotobrushing is also called rotoscoping. This brings the power of masking into play within After Effects, and is one of the main reasons many people prefer it over other platforms.
