1. (v) When a pedestrian intentionally and abruptly stops in front of another pedestrian who is walking closely behind them (in order to illicit a reaction).

2. (v) When a driver intentionally and abruptly breaks in front of another driver who is following them (in order to illicit a reaction).

3. (n) The act of break checking someone (see definitions 1 and 2).

1. "Dude, why'd you break check me?"

2. "If this guy behind me doesn't stop tailgating, I'm gonna break check 'em."

3. "When you walk closely behind someone, make sure to watch out for a brake check."

A 'Welfare Check'

When people of higher authority in certain small townships (normally more cases north of the mason Dixon line and worse large cities in common wealth states such as Pennsylvania or surrounding states such as New York)

Corrupted law enforcement (one bad apple of the group in any Police department) will stop by your house, if it's unlocked or seems unlocked, they will perform a 'welfare check' which is just a way to enter a home illegally, steal, plant evidence etc. Just a loop hole to invade somelone house based purely on unethical servants of the community.

When you already have a significant other, are flirting with someone else and they refer to your mate.

oil check

An act whereby an individual inserts his finger or penis into the asshole of another. Much like an oil check on a car, the appendage can then be examined to determine whether or not the contents are clean or dirty.

I saw Sam with his back turned to me so I gave him an oil check.
