a person who has average/high levels of intelligence but is unbelieveably slow at undertaking menial tasks, such as washing up, pouring a glass of water or trying to tie their shoe laces. following in on from this, people who they then come into contact with, end up becoming slow at tasks they are involved with, even if they are usually efficient.

Ben: hey buddy, howcome you're taking so long? we're going to miss our flight?

Tim: sorry, ive just been on the phone to matt, i don't know whats gotten over me

When an actor, like Antony Starr, melds into their role so perfectly, like Homelander, the two identities are inseparable. May or may not dictate acting career to similar characters in other movies, shows or videogames. Other examples are Giancarlo Esposito as Gustavo Fring, RDJ as Tony Stark, and Arnold Schwarzenegger as The Terminator.

The Mel Effect

Based on world-renown virtual youtuber "Yozora Mel", it is the illusion caused by the person in question wearing clothing that comes no higher than the upper breast area, and just before the shoulder. This illusion causes any on-lookers to get the impression the person in question could be naked.

I thought I saw Ashley butt-naked in her backyard from over the fence, but it was just the Mel effect and she was actually wearing a shoulderless crop top.
