sextrance is a niche subgenre of Hard trance typically associated with trance music that has a lot of filter, and a cassette type of sound to it. It draws inspiration from other genres such as, Surge, Frenchcore, Hardcore (More Specifically, Freeform Hardcore), Jungle & Breakcore.
It was also popularised by Purity Filter, Exodia and sienna sleep. However it should be mentioned that Sextrance is basically HexD, which stems past the original release dates of the first ‘sextrance’ songs. It was found in the late 2010’s with artists associated with rap collective Reptilian Club Boyz & the group Hexcastcrew.
