A punk/rock/alternative metal song by Leathermouth (Stylised as LeATHERMØUTH) which was banned from being performed by the FBI. The song threatened the US President and was banned for violating the law against that specific act. The band still performed the song at the 2013 Skate and Surf fest, where Frank Iero encouraged the audience to sing the correct lyrics which weren't forcibly changed by the FBI. Frank Iero is still on the FBI watchlist, and is therefore unable to safely voice his opinions about BLM and ACAB, although he would most certainly be all for the two (as any decent human being should be).

Ghostface Killah

Ghostface Killah, is an American rapper and member of the Wu-Tang Clan. After the group achieved breakthrough success in the early- to mid-1990s, each member was free to pursue solo careers.
Ghostface Killah took his name from one of the characters in the 1979 kung fu film Mystery of Chessboxing.

It has been said that Ghostface Killah broke Mase's jaw after negative comments were made in the Clan's direction. Many have comfirmed it to be true, On Stark's album Supreme Clientle he raps, " Yo the champ punched Mase in his face over some bullshit The other night they kidnapped his brother pokin him with knives ." Also in Kanye West song "Through The Wire" this incident is referenced to when West raps, " If you could feel how my face felt, you would know how Mase felt."

Kill your idols

A saying of advice to artists of all sorts to eliminate the behaviors or styles of their "idols" or what they took influence/inspiration from. It's synonymous with Kill your darlings. First said by Sonic Youth on the EP Kill Yr Idols, on the song of the same name.

They came up with the song and phrase after music critic Robert Christgau attended a very early live session of theirs and wrote a quite negative review in The Village Voice. Sonic Youth had looked up to Christgau before, and as stated in the song had previous wanted to impress him with their music.

"I don't know why
You want to impress Christgau
Ah, let that shit die
And find out the new goal"

After the review they said "fuck that" and adopted a new mindset, where trying to impress people, or mimic the styles of your idols is detrimental to the creativity of your work. A very good mindset to have for the band they are, as they certainly did what they said and were a very unique band that didn't sound like much before it.

It means "John Lennon is dead". Alternatively, 'john' can be substituted for any other name to create the same effect

Originating from 4chan, "john is kill" was the assumed 'title' of a thread about the assassination of John Lennon seemingly typed out by someone with very little English skills, to comedic effect. The OP was asking people where they were and what they were doing when they heard about John's assassination. Now the thread is sometimes recreated using the same picture of John and using the same format, although sometimes Heath Ledger is used instead (or heat ledger, as it is typed out in homage to the original OPs poor English)
