A soap opera about an oil baron's dysfunctional family that ran from 1981 to 1989. It starred John Forsythe, Joan Collins and Linda Evans; and had its overall best ratings from 1982 to 1986.

You don't have to watch Dynasty to have an attitude.

Bourbon dynasty

Most inept monarchial dynasty in the history of Europe. They were thrown out of power and executed during the French Revolution, restored by foreign powers, only to be thrown out of power again. Though they still rule in Spain, having been restored after being thrown out of power(again), more often when one refers to a Bourbon dynasty, they refer to a franchise such as the Cleveland Browns or Winnipeg Jets, teams that left the league because they were not competitive enough, only to be later restored.

The Winnipeg Jets are nothing more than a Bourbon dynasty.
