Get the you're it for memug. Originally from Ireland, this all round compliment means you're a great person, you've risen to the occasion and been generally wonderful. It existed before the whole 'movie star' thing so it must relate more to a star in the sky.

Get the you're a starmug. It is a compliment towards someone. It roughly translates to, 'You are the coolest." Other adjectives could be in place of coolest, such as, most awesome, best and any other complimentary adjectives.
Bill exclaimed to Joe, "you're the shit!" after Joe took Bill to a party and had enormous amounts of fun.
