Hermit Mode

A period in a University student's life, where they attempt to lock themselves away from society in order to complete assignments (usually left until the last minute).

This time is usually full of many cans of red bull, panic attacks, contemplation of University withdrawal, and chocolate.

Cyber hermit

One who does not participate in real life. They only interact with others when absolutely needed via texting, email, Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, and the like.

I think I may be a cyber hermit. I didn't go outside for over a month. My family would have thought me dead except I kept posting pictures of my cat on Facebook.

(1) In the MMORPG "Kingdom of Loathing", this phrase conjures up any of a variety of myths and legends about how to 'solve' a particular part of the game, especially if said thing cannot be done.

(2) Masturbation.

(1) In order to open up the sunken chest, you first have to kill the hermit. Of course, in order to do that, you must first blow Mr. Skullhead, earning you three perspicacity points. Yeah, they're one of the Moxie substats.

(2) Yeah, I thought about taking on the Naughty Sorceress, but that's too much of a pain in the ass; I'm just gonna go lube up and kill the hermit instead.
