Lottering

When you and a peer arrive at a work or school parking lot at about the same time and you pretend not to see them and stay in your car listening to the radio or doing some other fake busy work for no other reason than you don't want to walk in with them and have to chat awkwardly during the journey.

Sorry I'm late. I pulled in at the same time as that dumbass in shipping, so I had to do some lottering for awhile until he was inside.

Slang phrase for smoking marijuana. From the movie Super Troopers wherein the troopers are messing with some stoned college-aged kids that they've pulled over on a highway. Lt Ramathorn asks them if they know why he pulled them over and they reply that they don't know. Ramathorn then starts saying mto them, "Littering aaannd... Littering aaannd..." several times and then finally says "Littering aaannd......smokin' the reefer."

"What are you doing, Dude?"
"Not much right now - just littering and..."

St. Totteringham's Day

St. Totteringham's Day is the day celebrated by Arsenal F.C. fans when Tottenham Hotspur can no longer finish above Arsenal F.C. in the English Football League by virtue of not being able to catch their rivals, even if they win every remaining game.

Due to its very nature, St Totteringham's Day is moveable and can occur at varying times during the season based on the respective fortunes of Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal F.C..

In 2007 it is anticipated that St. Totteringham's Day will fall on Saturday 21st April when Arsenal F.C. travel to White Hart Lane; home of the Tottenham Hotspurds.
