Leader of the "Roc Pile." Amateur softcore porn director, aspiring hip-hop/rap artist. Currently serving time for discharging a firearm during the Community Day events of the Sunnyvale Trailer Park, although he actually just got fined and is living under his trailer with the rest of the "Roc Pile." He is hoping that the stint in jail will gain him some street-cred where he can then spin that into big cash with a record label.

Term used to describe Japanese rock music. As far as I know, this term is actually rarely used in Japan; most use the term "J-POP" instead. Many groups that are referred to as "J-Rock" also fall into the category of Visual Kei (for example, Luna Sea, Malice Mizer, Gackt, Moi Dix Mois, Nightmare, and others). A major element in Visual Kei is flamboyant, eccentric, and feminine (less common nowadays) costumes. To be driven away by "freakiness" of many of these groups is very foolish, as one would miss out on a beautiful form of music

Get the J.Rocwell mug.J-rock is 'japanese rock' but shortened. It is basically rock music from japan. J-rock has progressed over the years, and now some j-rock albums you are now able to get in the USA more easier than before.
Most j-rock bands are found out over the internet, or animes. For instance, the j-rock band FLOW does the opening song for the anime Eureka Seven, The Pillows did the ending song for the anime FLCL, and Asian Kung-Fu Generation did several opening songs for the anime FullMetal Alchemist, all making the bands more popular and well-known throughout the USA.
Some people think j-rock is in it's own genre, but it is NOT it's own seperate genre of music. J-rock is just used to tell you the music is from Japan.

Get the J-rock mug.An excellent music genre that used to have a humane, mature fanbase only a couple years back. These fans still exist, but most of the fandom has been taken over by anime freaks which has ticked off most original J-rock fans. These anime fans only listen to Dir en grey (actually, some haven't even heard a Dir en grey song in their life) and claim to listen to Malice Mizer and Moi dix Mois, just so they can obsess over Mana who they clearly know nothing about (that sucks considerably, as Mana is a great, talented musician, not just a pretty face). They claim to be huge J-rock fans after only naming these three bands, yet have never heard of others like Amadeus, Boom Boom Satellites, Soft Ballet, or Blam Honey.
