Gudging

Portmanteau of "geek" and "judging".

It describes an instance when one geek with a sad pop culture obsession is judged by another geek to be below him on some social ladder even though he also has a pop culture obsession that to the outside observer is equally sad.

Space 1999 fan:You collect Alien Nation memorabilia? That's really pathetic.
Alien Nation fan:Man, stop gudging.
