When someone is completely wrong about a statement but they are either too dumb or stubborn to admit they are wrong. Most of the time it is a combination of both. Once confronted with clear evidence they were completely wrong they will state they knew the answer but stated the wrong answer for effect.

Poop: I watched Mj play vs the Sonics in the finals at the kingdome during the 2007 nba finals. I got him to sign my babe Ruth rookie card there.

Lawdy: Well the Sonics played the bulls in the 96 finals at key arena so your story is obviously fabricated.
