nigga can be used as celebrating the escape from slavery. people can say it and it not be derogitory. this is not to be confused with nigger. if if has the er at the end and is fully pronounced like that, it is VERY offensive to the black race

Nigga

A 'nigga' is a black person, and can be used as an insult OR a nick-name. Some people use the term 'nigga' as friend, and do not mean it to be offensive, however nowadays many people take it the wrong way.

1. Sam: Hey you, you nigga!
Tom: Me?

A Black Person,a term used among Blacks between themselves,Just like when black hommies meet themselves, they can say "Wassup ma Nigga" but also now a racial term for the blacks by the white people. When used by a white guy to a black, hmm its an Offensive word !!!

Nigga

While at first glance, to utter the word the "NIGGA" would seem to some (those living under a rock for the last million years) as a definate racial insult, however the word Nigga, when spelled and said correctly, is nothing more than a term of endearment. The use of the word (spelled, N.I.G.G.A and absolutely no other way, ie: Nigger, Negro) is specific to the African American community as a means to take the dorragatory version, nigger and make it into something less insulting, racist or humiliation thus leading to the modern day de-sensitized version of the word.

Until recently (10-12 yrs.), it was taboo for anyone outside of the black community to ever say the word. It would have been frowned upon and the person, not of African American orgin, would have probably been assulted for ever saying the word.

Currently you may hear lots of different ethnicities using the word as the word has transended into a hip way of communicating within the, "new generation".

Yo, what is the business, my Nigga?!

-a close friend or acquantance that you like that is awesome, sweet and chill. They usually laugh a lot and don't give a crap about too much, but they are awesome. It is awkward to say this to a black person, but if you are real good friends with them then it is applied the same.

Nigga is a word that black African American rappers come up during the Gangster Rap era it was mainly for a shock and awe and became the choice word for black gangs. Black people are the only ones able to call their friends that but white people can't say it or they would get a beat down
