In South Africa, one usually buys weed by the bankie. A bankie is the amount of weed that will fit in a bank coin bag (weed is not necessarily sold in a bank bag, but it is the most common container)

Generally perceived as the rough-and-tumble of society, they tend to be a mix of scene, punk, mod, skinhead and metalheads, fond of a good knock(beat-down) Central Bank is their stomping ground, congregating in their masses on weekends and public holidays, passing around naggins of vodka, and bags of weed occasionally
