Progression

1. The epic and unparalleled event of taking multiple alcoholic shots, the number of which is significant (ie. years of marriage, number of V-cards taken, etc.), in order to expedite the process of pregaming. The use of a theme song is highly recommended, though not required.

2. The act of progressing.
"Dood, Timmy just took a 13 shot progression for his frat's 13th anniversary and now he's puking in the bathtub."

Progression Fetish

Progression fetish refers to a pattern of attraction or romantic interest in individuals who are at a further stage in life than the person they attract.
While correlated with financial status, age or power dynamics, it can go against it, since it usually happens as a result of simply perceiving the person as a source of general purpose in pursuing your aspirations.
- How did our loser friend get a girlfriend?

- Bro, he graduated and tried to pick up first-year college chicks. He played on her progression fetish.

The Epic Chord Progression

The same four chords used in nearly every hit song which could be defined as "epic". Many people are fooled by the various transpositions, but its all the same stuff. The most popular progression of course being Em, C, G, D (just one example). Please note, the progression can start on any one of the chords, but it will include the other three invariably.
(First noted by a pair of absurdly innovative Oregon high school students).
